Jeffrey Alan Schechter (usually credited as Jeff Schechter) is a screenwriter whose work has been nominated for two Emmy awards, a Writers Guild of America award, and a Writers Guild of Canada award.
Schechter was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and is a graduate from the film program at SUNY Purchase.
Schechter was nominated for the Writers Guild of America Award for Outstanding Television Writing for his work on the Disney film Brink!. In 2005, he also received a Writers Guild of Canada award nomination for his work on The Big Wish Movie. In 2004 and 2005, he received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Writing in a Children's Series for the Discovery Kids series Strange Days at Blake Holsey High; he also wrote and directed the episode Past which earned the series a British Academy of Film and Television Arts award for Best International Series.
